30-Day Giving Challenge
Since 2010 (!), I have participated in the 30-Day Giving Challenge during the month of November. The premise is rather simple: each day of November be a blessing to those around you by giving each day. As I have done each year, I've already taken time to plan out my giving for this year. However, I’m also remaining open to new opportunities that might arise this November. I enjoy this part of my year, and I'm excited to see what happens during this coming month.
I have put together a Pinterest board with some of my ideas. Check it out here if you'd like to see some of my plans. As in the past, I will be blogging about my experience and will be posting here on substack about my experience as well.
My Writing Projects
Here’s a quick update on my writing projects. As I mentioned in my goals for 2023 and my March 2023 Bonus, I’m working on a children’s book about Heather and Harold. I made some decent progress on it during the first quarter of 2023. As I mentioned in my June 2023 newsletter, much of my writing time this summer was taken up with my class on the book of 1 John.
The past couple of weeks, I’ve been working on the first draft of the Heather and Harold book, as well as to finish a draft of a Bible study book on 1 John (drawing from the content of the class I am teaching). I’ve been prioritizing the 1 John project and am quite hopeful that I’ll have that done some time in January 2024. That means that I will then be looking for some beta readers to read through my manuscript and give me feedback. If you are interested and would like more details, please reply to this newsletter.
